Last Thursday, Sensei (along with the Uchi Deshi and one very dedicated Soto Deshi, who is being thrown in the foreground) took a field trip to Center for the Way in Mountain View, California.

There we trained with Hideki Shiohira, Shihan, pictured in front of his shomen, who ran a vigorous class on a very full mat.
